Grady's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse BIrthday Party

We had a VERY busy January and kept moving the date of Grady's second birthday party. Finally, we decided on a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed brunch on a Sunday while Grady's cousin Grace was visiting. We had a small party, with just his Grandparents and Aunts/Uncles. It was small, but special and Grady had a blast.

We dug out our Mouse Ears from our trip to Disney World this past summer.

Instead of a real cake, we chose a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake this year. It was delicious!

Grady had so much fun playing games with his cousins Grace & Cayge.

This was the first time opening presents that Grady was actually interested in. At Christmas time, all he cared about was looking at other people's gifts they had opened rather than opening his own. So this birthday was a lot of fun.

Grady loves to pretend to read now also.

Grady LOVES Toy Story right now. We watch part of it every single day. I'm not lying. When Grady gets up in the morning, the first thing he says is Woody Buzz. So he was very excited to get all the characters for this birthday.

Buzz is his favorite.

Happy birthday sweet boy. We are so very blessed to have you.

Kelsey's Snow Session: Columbia, MO Photographer

Every time it snows outside, I think of all the wonderful memories playing in the snow as a little girl. Sledding, building snowmen, making snow angels, building igloos and tunnels were just some of the special things that we did after a good fluffy snow filled the ground in the rural community in Illinois where I grew up.

My husband and I now live in a wonderful area where we don't get as much snow as I was used to growing up.  We have the most wonderful neighbors and when it recently snowed in Columbia I was able to capture some photos of Kelsey, our sweet, wonderful neighbor! She is a beautiful young lady and I am excited to share her photos with you!

Love,

Katie

Sweet Sophia's First Birthday Cake Smash - Columbia, MO Photographer

Cake smash sessions are quite simply one of  the funnest sessions we do!  We arrived at Sophia's house to meet Sophia's family. We were greeted by Sophia, her mom and dad, and then her older sister Olivia who was feeling sick that day. We first took a few photos of Sophia for her 1 year portraits, and then let her do the cake smash at the end. Sophia did a wonderful job and was entire the happy time. And we were able to squeeze just a few smiles out of the little cutie!  Her older sister Olivia was such a character! Her mom and dad said just 20 minutes before we arrived, Olivia was pretty much helpless saying she wasn't feeling well. But when we arrived, she was a  ball of energy, talking to us and telling us all sorts of stories. She was such a sharp, well spoken little girl for her age. I would have easily guessed she was 5 years old, but she was only 3. Sophia's family was a blast and getting to meet new people and spend time with their families is one of the best parts about being a photographer. Congratulations on turning ONE little miss Sophia!  We are glad to have met you and your family!

Also, we are currently still offering Cake Smash Sessions, so if you are interested, please shoot us an email! FreshInspirationsPhoto@hotmail.com
